Default Cyclone Burma

I feel absolutely torn by what has happened in Burma. I see it on the news and it hurts. I so desperately want to do something to help. Can anyone think of anything? I tried to give some money the other day, but they won't allow paypal if anyone can find any way to give through paypal please let me know. Or if anyone can think of any other way I might be able to help please let me know. It's tragic what has happened there and I want to be able to help.

I really don't know what to do either because when donating to things like this, I have no idea where my money is actually put.

This is just terrible what is going on. They are not even allowing aide workers in the last I heard. I wonder if the Red Cross has any thing set up where you can donate to help?

Oh that's just awful not allowing workers in to help. I see what you mean about not knowing where the money is going to. It just doesn't seem fair. It is awful to watch on the telly, but I have been praying about it. At the moment it seems all we can do.

At times like this there's unfortunately always scams that start up trying to take advantage of people's generosity, so please tread carefully. It's best to donate via an organization who's already involved in sending aid or gain your information about where to make a donation from reputable sources like national newspaper or national tv stations websites.

World Vision for example has a "donate now" button right on their homepage that's for the cyclone victims and have been quoted by sites like CNN as being there. Whether they take PayPal I don't know, but I'd bet if you asked them to find a way you could donate, they'd have one. Maybe even PayPal has a way set up on their own site.

Thanks Serenity I really appreciate that I never thought of asking them outright if they accept Paypal, but I bet you are right that they will. I know what I am going to do now and am going to do some work and donate the money I earn directly from the work to the cyclone. I just hope they are now accepting aid. I keep praying as well. I feel so bad I wish I could go out there, but I have daughter and I am also waiting for an operation on my knee.
