Food rationing hits America, it all sounds very alarmist to me but the number of stories from around the world of food price rises and shortages along with reduced crop yields and further projected reductions in nutritional value and yield all makes for a nasty mix.
I'd say start using whatever space you have to plant some seeds so you can grow your own veggies... fortunately I don't think the lack of certain products will hit America too much. In any case should help with the obesity epidemic.
You know I keep reading stories like this, and yet I haven't seen any in our area. Bananas are no longer available by the case, but that's hardly rationing.
I read that the american Wal-Mart stores are now limiting how many sacks of rice one can buy. These are the folk that pay their employees so little many of them are on food stamps (as are many military families).
Wow I didn't know they were going to do this. It hardly seems fair. I think the suggestion of growing your own vegetables is a really great idea and one that we should all try to implement. Obesity is on the rise so if this food ration does help obesity maybe it isn't such a terrible thing after all.
