Default Natural way to get rid of grubs?

Our front gardens are right full of grubs and they are killing just about anything we plant. I really don't want to put down Grub-ex but it's the only product that I've found to work. Does anyone know a natural grub repellent?

Grub-ex is the only thing that I know of that will absolutely get rid of them I am sorry to say.

I've never seen anything in any of my organic gardening books, except to till the soil regularly in a garden and let the birds eat them or pick them out yourself. Obviously thats not very feasible for your lawn.

Default I was so hoping for better news

We've been trying so hard to get away from chemical dependency in our lawn care and gardening. I was so hoping that someone here would have a natural alternative. I'll have to read up more and do some more research. Grub-ex would be okay, I guess, it it does the trick and doesn't have to be reapplied annually. I don't want to be stuck putting it in every year.

Unforunately I haven't heard of any safe alternative either. There may be a method which is much more difficult that could work but I haven't heard of anything truly practical other than chemical agents at this point.

I've been looking for something as well and am having the same luck. Usually my father-in-law has some home "remedies" for pests or tricks with plants but he came up empty on this one. If you do hear of a way I'd like to know. I guess I'll be getting the Grub-ex this weekend.

Chris

Do you know what sort of grubs they are?

Could you borrow some chickens? They'd love to sort the problem out!!
