It all started when we got a dog I kid you not. Right now its not bad or anything but am seeing some amazing growth of May Blooms trees in my back yard. I am looking for some info on anything that might help even more, anyone?

Water your yard more often. Dog urine and feces is not good for your yard. I'm amazed that it is getting better. Usually when I dog is in the yard and plant life suffers.

Dogs can really do a number on any yard, and I am also very surprised.

The reason I know dog urine is bad for grass is that I had a roommate who had a black lab. She kept her out in the backyard. At that time, the yard had grass everywhere. Now, the only place that has grass is where I had a water leak from my water cooler. I have to put in a new outdoor faucet before I can start watering the backyard. Can you guess why? :-) I no longer have that roommate or her lab.

Hey, not all labs are bad. They do like water though.

It is important to change where a dog eliminates and to pick up solid matter regularly. I have two large dogs (70+lbs each) and while my yard has some rough patches its from putting in an underground electric line for the boat and not the dogs.

I didn't say the lab was a bad dog. She thought she was a lapdog, yes! I'm sorry, my lap is not that big! :-) But, I am handicapped and cannot clean the yard. It was my roommates job to take care of that because of her dog. She always had an excuse. Now there is no grass in my backyard. As soon as I get the water faucet fixed, I can start watering the yard again and hopefully get my grass back. It is so much cooler when the yard has grass in the summertime.

Well my dog is even being 1/2 lab, scared of water so that will be interesting. The part where we dump it all is at the far end of the yard. Over the weekend I will have to take a picture and show you, the bushes/tree/brush have all tripled. Its insane.

I've got 4 dogs and I don't see a problem with my grass where they use the bathroom. My only problem is they like to follow the same path when they run and it wears the grass thin. I've never seen dog urine be a problem unless it is when the boys hit the furniture or grill.

I broke my camera over the weekend and need to replace the flap that holds the batteries in, lucky enough that I could order with a local shop here and get one shipped. It should be here tomorrow or the next day, but just wanted to note the area that grows very well, needs clipped down a little so expect it a little wild looking.

And Chris, my dog does the same unless there is water there on the ground (there is a little dippy spot that he wont go in when there is water there).

I'm watiently paiting to see this spot.;-) yes I deliberately spelt that wrong. That's one of my normal tongue fungles.

I still say the dog urine is not good for grass and it needs extra water to keep it hydrated right. I bet you water your yard a lot don't you?
