Default Physics for the stupid?

I love physics but I find it hard to read along with a lot of the modern stuff as I don't have the maths background. Any tips or reading suggestions to get me up to speed with the basics??????

I took a maths course recently from Open university. Maybe they have something similar in your country? It was a study at home course in maths for science and technology. If you're in Australia I can recommend http://www.open.edu.au

That's a good idea, you don't actually need that high a level of maths to follow most of the work. So a first year university maths course, especially one directed at science or technology (but probably not computers) would be ideal.

Physics...well, I asked a friend of ours who is a graduate Physics student what physics were, and all I got was a glassy stare. My husband, whose hobby is physics, told me in about five minutes in language I could understand. Can I disseminate them to you in a logical manner? Heck no, and I didn't even make it into a graduate program.

About physics I believe that it depends on who can give you a little advice in a fun and easy way, it doesn't mater if you have a high level of maths if someone can explain it to you in terms that anyone can undertand.

Our local colleges offer non-math physics courses. It is a great way to develop a working knowledge of the subject without damaging your brain cells too much.

That's what I was going to suggest. If you want to know all the mathematical stuff in detail, then it's not for you, but for people like me who would rather understand what's going on more than spending hour after hour working out math problems that don't concern me, then look for something like those courses.
