In a few years, there is a serious chance that the asteroid Apophis will hit the earth. Barring actual impact, there will still be issues like tides and earthquakes to deal with.
Do you think this eventuality is being hidden from the public?
I hadn't heard anything about that. After reading that, who knows if it will happen, but it's unlikely we'll start hearing serious reports about it for another couple decades. If it were being "hidden," there wouldn't be reports of it anywhere at all and it would be hush-hush, but as it stands, I just don't think it's hit the mainstream as 'that serious and important' yet.
I have a feeling that governments want to say they have a "plan" before we start seeing any serious discussion with the general public. After all, those who are already thinking about the possibilities are quietly making changes in their plans for the future. 2036 isn't that far away if you are thinking about having children now!
