I knew Whole Foods carried things labeled as organic alcoholic drinks, but I didn't realize there was actually a market out there for organic beer.

Glad to hear about people trying new organic products! I've never had organic beer, but I'm assuming that it's organic because the barley and hops (used to make beer) are grown without pesticides. They probably have stricter standards about the processing of the beer also.

A familiar comment I hear from cashiers when I buy organic is, "Does it really taste better?" I usually tell them it's not about the taste it's about my health and the environment.

I live in an area that takes organics and beer very seriously. I can't tell you about the differences one way or another, because organic or not, I just don't like beer!

You know, I don't really taste a difference beer but do in many foods. Regardless, cheers to mom2many - it's about making a choice to be proactive about your health and the future of this planet!

I find that organic veggies have a cleaner, sweeter taste and aren't bitter like some non-organic veggies. Same with wine. I'm waiting on organic hard cider. Anyone tried this?

Thanks you guys. I don't drink all that much just occasionally. I think I am going to try some of the organic beer this weekend.

Taste really isn't the most important factor for me but for a lot of consumers it certainly can be. Organic products have to be able to stand up against traditional ones or else they won't catch on.

The demand for organic beer is booming. Organic beers and lagers are starting to appear on supermarket shelves abroad. I have not really seen one yet here in our city. I heard though that organic beers are widely sold in the European area.

Here in Toronto they're in pretty high demand still as well as well as many medium sized cities around south Ontario. I think they stand a good chance of catching on as time goes forward.
