Default Solar paint!

Putting solar cells on to large buildings by painting them on. Now this is something I'd like to see. All the underutilised space on commercial properties or large apartment blocks could be used to generate electricity. Another step to the localisation of power generation that I believe is the next logical step in our journey towards sustainability!

What a fabulous idea. Think of all that underutilized space sitting under the sun all day.

I wonder how long the solar paint would remain effective for?

It really sounds like a great idea to use all that free space. Is it very expensive?

This is a great way of minimizing our dependence on energy from coal and oil based powerplants. Hope this works out!

I've read a little about this before and I'm hoping to see it come into play as soon as possible. It's a really great idea and if it works it could revolutionize solar energy practices even further which would have enormous benefits.

That's a great idea. Just one more step in the process and it's wonderful that they're actually making advancements in the technology...and paint!

Here is a link to an interesting article about solar paint that was in the National Geographic magazine in January of 2005:

I saw that article before and I think it's great that there was an editorial in National Geographic for it. Surely more people are going to want the product (or at the bare minimum, know of its existence) now that it's been featured in such a popular magazine.

That is just way neat. I can not wait to see where this goes in the future. The possibilities are great. I want some of that paint.

Default Solar paint

This sounds like a great idea. But I wonder how much it would cost, and how long it would last?
