A/C efficiency
Does anyone know if it is more efficient to run the air conditioning unit on and off rather than just let it run continuously at a low cool?

When is very hot in the summer, I run the AC for around 15 minutes in high and then for 1 hours and a half on low, and it actually cools down my apartment and it lasts around 3 or 4 hours after I turn the AC off. And I only do that when I'm at home.

I would be curious to know as to which way is the best way to run one also? My husband says that it is better to leave it running on low.

I think that once the unit is suitably sized for the area, it should be more efficient to run the unit for longer periods on the low setting.
