An inconvenient truth

I finally got to see this movie! (I was living in Germany and there they had limited released of it and I missed it.) I was impressed by the presentation, but actually didn't surprised me. I started doing my little cooperation few years ago, and I think if we all do at least one bit, we can help reduce the global warming.

It's a pretty great movie and I was glad that it got the overall response and attention that it did. To me the whole film seemed like a good university lecture on global warming with a very entertaining professor in the form of Al Gore. A lot of it was information I knew parts of but it was nice to see it all in one movie.

I have not seen this movie yet. I have heard about it but have not had the chance to watch it.

Well we were on our way to addressing many of the issues when the Reagan government discontinued many of the incentives to advance the development of alternative fuels sources. If things could have continued as planned, the USA wouldn't be in the mess it is in now.

I am sure the oil companies pushed to stop most of the home grown development until they could figure out how to have control over the alternatives! LOL

Yeah, as depressing a notion as that is to think about it's very true. For the last eight years Bush has been too busy worrying people about war to pay attention to his malignant view of the environment as well. I was glad to see that Gore put the film out to raise awareness at the time he did.

I think everyone should be made to watch this movie. It is such an eye opener. I have shown it to all my family.

More than just watching, I believe we should all get into actions right away. All the light bulbs in my house are low energy ones. I wear sweaters when is not still warm to go without the heat on, so I limit the heat usage in my house to maybe a couple of hours a day. Every little thing counts!

I agree that every little bit you do can help. I loved this movie and had my son watch it. I figure he should know why we do what we do in our home.

Sounds really motivating and a must see. And I think we should do all that we can do. Every little bit will help.

I have seen the movie and I really loved it. Though most of the things shown in the movie is not really new to me, it is still eye-opening. It is very educational that I had to require my students to watch the film.
