Default Surface Temperature Of The Planet

Do you believe that human activity has contributed to a significant increase in the average surface temperature of the planet?

I think it has to have. There is no disputing that human activity has increased the effect on the environment so it stands to reason that human activity has contributed to the average surface temperature of the planet.

I don't see that there is a way to deny that we have contributed. Just look at what we have spewed out into the atmosphere in the past couple of hundred years-how can we NOT be having an affect?

Yes, I do think that we have contributed to the warmer temperatures on the planet. I just wish attention would have been brought to this years ago. Who know maybe it was and I just didn't know.

I think people are naive to believe that it isn't contributing, but no one wants to change their own style of living for the benefit of the planet. It's too scary to consider that everyday habits could be destroying the place where we live.

Human activity has contributed, and that is the key word...contributed. The earth has always gone through cycles, as has the sun. Even if we hadn't thrown anything into the atmosphere, the earth would still warm and then cool, of its own accord.

There is absolutely no way to deny that we are resonsible. I mean we ourselves can generate heat!

In the last couple of centuries, "heavy" industry has learned to spew all kinds of particulates into the air. These clouds can act as a blanket over the atmosphere, and I believe that contributes alot to the heating up of the planet's surface.
I agree with Sage that the earth has warming and cooling cycles. We just seem to be helping out so much with the warming cycles. I worry that the natural cycles could become messed up with this heat cycle, I mean, somehow the cycles have to address the harm we are doing to the planet.

Honestly I think more people are willing to change but just like with anything new a lot of the stuff that you can buy that might help is just still to expensive for the average person.

I think the expense is a poor excuse. People complain about the cost, but in the end, isn't having the planet clean, safe and still habitable worth the extra price?
