Summer used to be one of the best times here in our city as there are very many tourists that flock to our place. Our city is known as the Summer Capital of the Philippines because there are very many local and foreign tourist that visit this place at this time of the year. This is because while it is hot and humid in other places here in our country, it is really cold and windy here in our city. For the past three years or so however, I have noticed a significant change in our climate. It is humid from 10am to around 3 pm and then after that, it rains so hard as if it weren't summer at all.
I think our summers un UK have changed too (or maybe I am just getting old). Spring comes earlier, the weather is less predictable during the summer and when it rains it really means it. We have more flooding now too.
My husband and I were talking about the way the seasons seem to be shifting. The plants seem to be a couple of weeks later in getting their spring buds, as the snow seems to hang on in the ski resorts a little later.
The weather is weird all over the world this year. Here in Phoenix we have been doing a roller coaster ride with a temperature. It has been up and down between 70-90° for almost 2 months now. Usually it is a steady increase from the lower numbers, but not this year. Everybody is getting colds and flu because this roller coaster ride.

Yes, it seems like this in a lot of different places. I know that our summers here in Ohio the last few years have been way hotter then it has been in the past.
Last night, April 19th, it snowed on the Oregon coast and it stayed into the morning. Hail this afternoon. I mean, we're not the warmest of places, but snow in April is something new...
Well, I haven't been in NY in the summer for the last 5 years. So I'll see how things are now. In Berlin it was raining a lot, but some days were very beautiful and warm. NY on the other hand, they said that it is been hotter and hotter every year.
It's actually been pretty steady here. There was a lot of fluctuation at first but now the weather seems to have straightened out quite a bit and become sort of typical for late April. It does get super hot some days though which is a bit abnormal.
I saw a weather report on TV that mentioned that Santa Ana, not far away from Los Angeles, reached eighty-nine degrees the other day. I grew up in LA and it was NEVER in the upper eighties in April. My son, who still lives in LA, wears shorts nearly year-round.
