I must admit that this forum does seem to be well balanced with good discussions that people are not arguing over. I think this is the way it should be in forums. We are here to make friends as well after all.

Rather than discuss reality and come with some ideas about remedies, they push any discussion, intelligent or otherwise, away.

Sometimes I wonder as well if it's because they really do feel a bit guilty about what they've done to contribute to it. Actually I prefer to think that than the alternative - that they really don't care at all nor have a twinge of conscience...which sadly is more likely to be the case.

No matter what, there's no reason for resorting to name calling and such nonsense. You can debate a point with someone without dragging it down to playground levels.

It seems like the far right will always dismiss everyone who merely disagrees with them as either an alarmist, a tree hugger, a communist or simply "with the enemy" and each one of those claims is a load of horse crap whatever way you want to look at it.

Free speech is something this country was founded on.
