Right after I posted last night actually my university sent a mass email to our students about a new iniative to get everyone to calculate their footprints so it is recorded then try to reduce them by the same time next year in order to show the good that knowing your footprint can have. Quite a neat idea I think.
I know what you mean. I do well in most areas but I have to commute at least 20 miles to work each day, so that affects my footprint. Too bad I can't find anyone to pay me a decent wage to work from home! I'd give up my commute in a heartbeat.
I have no idea what my exact footprint is, but I know it's much less than many of the people I know and I'm always trying to find ways to reduce my impact, so I'm pretty content.
Okay, my carbon footprint is 5.299. That still doesn't tell me what it means. I'm assuming it means how much carbon do I produce or CO2. And that ain't much.
